Castiglie earns All-Rookie honors

A few weeks ago I wrote about Longwood graduate Ali Castiglie, who was in the midst of a terrific freshman year at Binghamton University in lacrosse. Well, it came out a few days ago that she was named to the 2008 America East All-Rookie Team. She made it along with teammate Lisa Illig.

Castiglie finished the season with a team-best 19 assists and was second in points with 37. The 27 points was the second-highest total for a Binghamton freshman since Becky Green in 2004.

The Bearcats finished the season with a program-best five wins.
