It's about 10 minutes from the first face-off and the crowd is filing in. A lot of Warrior fans in attendance. They travel well, as they did to Shoreham last Friday when the Warriors upset the No. 2 Wildcats, 7-5. Can they do it again? We'll see. My guess is Rocky Point pulls this one out. Too much firepower for the Warriors to contain. And if the Eagles' defense plays well like it did against Sayville, forget it.
Whoever wins this one will have a heck of a time Tuesday at Hofstra against Garden City. The Trojans are rolling at the right time.

Flag is down, :49.9. CW Slash. RP goes on man-up.
We got a player down right for CW. Can't see the number from here. But he's on his back getting his legs stretched out. :49.9
It's defenseman Trevor Rose, and he'll limp off the field to a loud ovation from the CW fans.
RP turns it over, careless pass by Matt Palasek is picked off and CW calls time-out with :38 left. Not the start to a man-up that you want. CW will likely just try to kill the clock for the remainder of the half.
Flag is down. RP called for slash with :18.2 left.
END 2: 3-1 RP
Some first-half observations:
Rocky Point has played real well defensively, led by Justin Annunziato and Mike Muller, who have switched duties on guarding CW All-American John DeChairo. So far DeChairo is scoreless and hasn't factored into the game. The only goal the Eagles gave up came on a breakdown where a long-pole got a clear lane to the cage.
On offense the Eagles haven't gotten many good shots and haven't gotten out in transition as much as they like. A few too many turnovers as well.
The good news for RP is on face-offs where the Eagles hold a 5-1 advantage through two quarters.
3rd Quarter:
We're ready for action here in the 3rd quarter, RP leads 3-1.
Passiglia is in on face-off for RP. CW wins it. Hold called on RP.

GOAL, 5-1, Dan Kramer scores off feed from Tom Palasek, 6:15
Now the Eagles are clicking...
GOAL, 6-1, Dan Kramer scores off another feed from Tom Palasek, 5:59.
That just might be it folks...
RP wins another faceoff.
Flag is down. Matt Toohey levels a CW player for illegal body check, 5:20 CW on man-up.
Annunziato with another great play on defense to get the ball back for Rocky Point.
There's 4:30 left and Trevor Rose is limping off the field again. He might not be able to make it back. He can't put pressure on his left leg.
Flag is down and against CW, Slash, 3:47.
GOAL, 7-1, Matt Palasek from Dan Kramer. Palasek whipped a hard shot from the left side. 3:31

RP turns it over, 2:07....
Flag is down, Illegal body check on RP, 1:19 left.
Big save by McGee on DeChairo, 1:00
Another save by McGee, Eagles get a ground ball and call time-out. I think the Eagles might have just withstood the last real burst by CW to get back into this game.
If the Eagles can hang on to this ball, they'll take a six-goal lead into the fourth quarter.
END 3, 7-1 Rocky Point
4th Qt.
CW with a rare face-off win.
GOAL: 7-2, Mike Pronsky scores with 11:36 left. Got a good look at the cage.
A little fireworks as Steven Rubino gets in the face of a RP player after a hard hit. Coaches are right there to break it up and the teams go to their respective sidelines.

Matt Palasek can't convert feed from Tom Palasek, CW clears, 8:00...
Annunziato with another great play to snatch the ball from DeChairo. RP loses it, though on interference, 7:16....
Time-out CW with 7:10
Another save by McGee, 6:35.
Shot by Rob Collins bounces out of bounds, RP remains with the ball, 5:38...
Flag is down on RP, illegal body check. 4:56
Shot by Dan Kramer in transition is saved. RP maintains ball. 4:05 left.
Four flags down. Things getting a little out of hand here. CW players are losing their cool. RP can't afford to get mixed up in this and get suspended.
Jesse Passiglia has been ejected with 2:58 left. He'll face an automatic suspension for the LI championship. A terrible turn of events for RP.
7-2 is the Final. Just spoke with players and coach Mike Bowler.
